Section A: Off Track Rules

 

A1) TeamSpeak is not required but is recommended here at RacinFreeks. Also please keep your TeamSpeak or Discord on a push to talk. No flaming!

 

A2) You are required to join our iRacing League Page on the iRacing Website to be able to join the race.

 

A3) "24-Hour Cool Off Rule"

 

A3-1) If drivers have an issue on track please keep it civil! If you feel like you can not keep the discussion civil then we would like for you to take 24 Hours after completion of the race to cool down and rethink any incidents. Remember the other drivers on the track are your friends and competitors, not your enemy.

 

A3-2) No flaming or disrespectful talk/text used in "in-game chat"  or TeamSpeak! Or Discord This will not be tolerated!

 

Section B: Caution Rules

 

B1) In-game chat is closed during the first lap of caution so admins can sort out the cause of the caution.

 

B2) If you bring out the caution please notify the admins under pace laps via in-game chat. (WAIT TIL ON PACE LAPS) The driver who claims the caution will be given an End of Longest Line penalty. If more than one driver claims the yellow, all drivers who claim will be given an EOL. The EOL will be given with 2 laps to go to green. If you don't claim the yellow and an admin must go look at the replay to see what the yellow was for you will get a Penalty done by the list below. This also applies to black flags being cleared.(If you believe the caution is a racing incident caused by both drivers you may decide to not claim but at the end of the race the admins will review the caution to decide if a penalty should be accessed to drivers involved in a caution.)


 

B3) These are the penalties for not claiming yellow.

-1st time does not claim a yellow that is on you -5 and can't qualify the next race

-2nd time -10 points and can't qualify next race

-3rd time -15 points and can't qualify next race

-4th time -20 points and can't qualify next race

-5th time -25 points and can't qualify next race and will get a 1 races suspension. After the one races suspension, the driver will start off with a clean slate for yellow offenses.

 

B4) If you get a penalty you have the right to appeal that penalty within 24 hours after the race is complete. If you appeal it you must have a chat with an admin on why you want this appeal.

 

B5) If there is 10 to go and you are involved in a caution and you don't claim the yellow with under 10 to go in the races you will be a move to the last place on your lead lap and also receive the penalty for not claiming the yellow. Same penalties apply as above.

 

B5-1) If you are involved wreck that happens on the last lap of the race and you feel you were not at fault. You may protest within 24 hours after the completion of the race to have admins review the incident to decide if a driver should be moved to the last position on the lead lap. No penalties will be accessed for not claiming the yellow as on the last lap the caution does not come out.

 

B6) If your car is damaged and you cannot get back to your spot promptly you have 2 choices; a. call for a tow or b. let admins know so we can give you an EOL. This will keep drivers in front of you from getting a black flag.

 

B7) All other drivers please catch up to the field as quick as possible.

 

Section C: Restart Rules

 

C1) On the first restart of the race the green flag will control when the leader may restart. The leader always has lane choice!

 

C2) After the first restart all after will be controlled by the leader. (Leader may decide when to restart)

C3) There will be NO EOL or pulling into pits to move to the back of the field. Where you qualify is where you will start unless you start from the pits. If you are caught pulling into pits and letting others by, you will receive a 15-second black flag penalty that will be served under green flag conditions.

 

C4) Anyone deemed by an admin for laying back on restarts will be given a warning if a warning has been giving in past races there will be no warning you will get a stop and go penalty. (Less than one Car length between cars during restarts please!)

 

Section D: Playoffs

 

D1) Top 12 Drivers in Seasonal Points will make the Playoffs

 

D2) A Win does not lock you into the playoffs. The Top 12 will be determined only by POINTS!

 

D3) Each Season Here at RacinFreeks is 12 Weeks Long with the first 9 races being our regular season and the last 4 being our playoff races.

 

D4) Each Driver has 1 Drop Race and 1 Provisional.

 

D5) Playoff Format

 

D5-1) "Playoff Race 1" (ROUND 1)

-12 Drivers Come into Round 1 with a chance to move onto Round 2

-In Race 1 the Top 10 Finishing Drivers of the 12 Playoff contenders will move onto Round 2 of the Playoffs

-Two Playoff Drivers will be eliminated after Race 1

-Only Based on Finishing Positions. No Points Involved!

 

D5-2) "Playoff Race 2" (ROUND 2)

-10 Drivers Come into Round 2 with a chance to move onto Round 3

-In Race 2 the Top 8 Finishing Drivers of the 10 Playoff contenders will move onto Round 2 of the Playoffs

-Two Playoff Drivers will be eliminated after Race 2

-Only Based on Finishing Positions. No Points Involved!

 

D5-3) "Playoff Race 3" (ROUND 3)

-8 Drivers Come into Round 2 with a chance to move onto the Finale

-In Race 3 the Top 6 Finishing Drivers of the 8 Playoff contenders will move onto Round 2 of the Playoffs

-Two Playoff Drivers will be eliminated after Race 3

-Only Based on Finishing Positions. No Points Involved!

 

D5-4) "Championship Race" (FINALE)

- 6 Drivers Come into the Finale with a chance to win the Championship

-End of Season Points Will be determined by the results of the Championship Race

-Winner will Receive $25 USD in iRacing Credits!



 

D6) Overall Yearly Points Standings

 

D6-1) During 2018 the RacinFreeks will have three 12 week Seasons. Points will be kept for all three.

 

D6-2) The Top 3 Drivers in the Yearly points will have a chance to win a championship at the last race of the year in which we will crown a fourth champion for 2018.

 

D7) 2018 Overall Championship Finale

 

D7-1) 6 Drivers will have a shot to win another championship at the last race of 2018 located at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

 

D7-2) Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3 Champion will be locked into this race

-If a driver wins multiple Seasons then we will select more drivers through the Overall Points.

 

D7-3) The other 3 Drivers are the top finishing drivers in Overall Points(Excluding the Seasonal Champions)

 

D7-4)Winner will receive $25 USD iRacing Credits.

 

Section E: Races Points, Bonuses and Penalties

 

E1) Race Points and Bonus Points

-Points will be updated every Saturday night on http://www.danlisa.com

-Points with being awarded from 40 to 1 point with a winner being awarded 40 points for First Place.

-Led a lap: +1 point.

-Led most laps overall: +1 point.

-Overall race winner: +3 points.

-Finished w/no incidents: +1 point.

 

Section F: Entry requirement to join the league

 

F1) Must have a D class 1.0 up to A class 4.0 no pro drivers allowed.

 

F2) Must have an Irating of 900-4000 to join the league. (THIS COULD CHANGE SEASONALLY/YEARLY) (*If you join the league and you go over the irating limit after joining  you will still be eligible to race here.*)

 

F3) During the Playoffs Driver Recruitment will be closed. It will open again after the 4 weeks of the Playoffs.







 

Section G: Race Settings

 

G1) Lap Count For Each Track Size

-2.5 Mile Tracks= 95 Laps

-2 Mile Tracks= 100 Laps

-1.5 Mile Tracks= 135 Lap

-1 Mile Tracks(Includes 3/4 mile)= 150 Laps

-1/2 Mile Tracks= 180 Laps

-Road Courses=  50 Mins

 

G2) Time of Day Settings

 

G2-1) Based on the time of Nascar’s scheduled start times

-Before 4pm=Afternoon

-After 4pm=Late Afternoon

-After 6pm=Night (If iRacing Has Night Setting)

 

G3) Weather Settings

 

G3-1) All Races will have iRacing Default Weather

 

G4) Track will start Clean and Carry over from each session


 

Section H: Series Available

 

H1) Drivers are allowed to race in both the Friday and Saturday night series


 

Section I: Team Rules

Section J: Quick Fixes

 

J1) Plate Tracks have two quick repairs

 

J2) Every other track has one quick repair.

 

 




 

Section K: Pit Road Rules

 

K1) When coming down Pit Road you must stay in the right lane till you are two pit boxes away from your own pit box.

 

K2) When leaving your pit box you may drive through only two boxes before you must be in the pit lane exit on the right side of pit lane

 

K3) Penalties In Race

 

K3-1) One violation of these rules will result to the driver not having the ability to grid at the start of the race.

 

K3-2) If a driver has a Pit Road Penalty and does grid at the beginning of the race this will result in that driver receiving an EOL during the pace laps then the driver will be given a 30 second stop and go black flag.

 

K3-3) If any driver receives 3 or more pit road penalties during a race, the next race the driver will and not be allowed to grid. After the driver has left pit road they will be given a Pit Road Drive through penalty.

 

K3-4) If a driver does not make it to the race when they were given a pit road penalty the week before. That penalty will carry to the next race the driver attends.

 

K3-5) When exiting pit road you must stay on the apron of the track till the back straightaway where you may begin to merge on the track.

 

K4) Penalty After Race

 

K4-1) If you are found breaking this rule you will be assessed an EOL penalty in the finishing results.

 

K4-2) If a driver who has won is found to break this rule you will lose all benefits of the win. The win will be encumbered!

 

K4-3) If you accidentally break this rule. You may let an admin know over race comms. If a caution comes you will receive a EOL and not be given one at the end of the race.






 

Section L: Where to Find Race Information for RacinFreeks

 

L1) The Racinfreeks racing website is where you will find all kinds of important information. You can find our Schedule, point’s standings, car numbers and more. This also is a great reference to answer many of your questions so you are ready to race on race nights.

 

L2) Our private Facebook is another tool to get information about this league. But you are required to join our forum to be allowed to join our league. The forum will have all kinds of useful information for the league.

 

L3) Our iRacing League Page will have lots of info also!

 

L4) Check your emails and iRacing inboxes for messages on upcoming races or announcements.
